Strength/Power Moves To Save Lives

^ What? How? is it because people become ridiculously strong? Is it because you become ridiculously huge and Thor like? None of these, actually. Your body gets smart.

But I thought only your brain held knowledge? Indeed. But guess what? Your brain and your spinal column communicate with your muscles.

A Motor unit is a term defined as: An alpha motor neuron and all the muscle fibers it?enervates?(is in charge of). A neurological electric stimulus travels down this motor neuron and stimulates muscle fibers. these muscle fibers when stimulated, release specific chemicals (such as Calcium and Potassium) to tell the muscle when to contract and when to relax. You have many different types of fibers, and your body in general has a keen idea to say, ?Okay, I?m going to start using these little ones first, then I?m going to ask the bigger ones for help?. This process is called the Henneman?s Size Principle.

Your body?s nervous system is a complex series of channels and webs, and the fact that they control every muscle in your body means you should seriously pay more attention to that system. Meaning? Don?t eat like shit, and lift weights. Diet is a serious contributor to healthy immune, hormonal, and nervous systems. If you eat like shit, slowly but surely you tax your systems to work under harsh conditions and over periods of time, you will develop severe cases of diseases in one, two, or even all of the said systems. When you eat clean, your body is a well-oiled machine, and your body is ready to function properly.

That leaves lifting weights. As I said earlier, the nervous system controls all the muscles whether we?re conscious of it or not. When you lift-especially with complex movements- your body increases cognitive function. Forcing your body to think keeps it on its toes, keeping it healthy. This has been PROVEN to help prevent neurological disorders such as Parkinson?s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis. Not only does this help prevent such neurological diseases, it aids in reducing the effects and symptoms for those who currently have it. In fact, the level of how severe Parkinson?s Syndrome effects it?s subject is INVERSELY related to muscle size and strength. This means the more efficient your muscle become, the more likely you are to counteract these unfortunate hardships so many face.

The problems are neurological, yet many physicians try to tackle these disorders with purely medicinal ?solutions?. The problems are neurological, so you must stimulate the neurological system! Weightlifting (variations and up to the Clean and Jerk and Snatch) and Strength Training (Deadlift, Push Press, OVERHEAD SQUAT, etc) are all things that are complex, and 100% stimulate the neurological system.

The point with all of this:

  • Lifting weights is not only about appearance
  • Lifting weights and doing complex movements makes your body smarter, more efficient in everyday movements.
  • The complex series of actions that are required to activate muscle fibers become healthier, faster, and recruit more fibers.

Save yourself. Save the copious amounts of money, the medical bills, the mound of pills, all of it. Take of your health now, make it a way of life so you don?t have to regret it when it?s too late.
