Verizon Wireless Deploys a Cell on Light Truck to July 10th?s Big Event to Ensure Customers Stay Connected
KANSAS CITY, MO ? Verizon Wireless is bringing out its own
pinch-hitter to ensure that baseball fans attending the big game on July
10, as well as those attending related events July 6-10, won?t miss a
call or have trouble sending texts, pictures or video highlights.
The nation?s largest wireless provider has deployed a Cell on Light
Truck (COLT) in the area, a temporary cell site that enables Verizon
Wireless to increase its 4G LTE network capacity for voice and data
transmissions during special events when increased network demand is
expected. History has proved wireless connectivity is in high demand
during high profile sporting events as fans use their mobile devices to
take, send and post photos and clips from the stadium, and also access
the web for scores and highlights from other games.
In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G
LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits
per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.?
The ability to meet or exceed network demand, even on a short-term
basis, is part of the company?s commitment to stay ahead of the growing
need for Verizon Wireless? voice and data services. Since the company
was formed in 2000, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $556 million
on improvements to its network in Missouri.
About Verizon Wireless Verizon Wireless operates the
nation?s largest 4G LTE network and largest, most reliable 3G network.
The company serves 93.0 million retail customers, including 88.0 million
retail postpaid customers. ?Headquartered in Basking Ridge, N.J., with
80,000 employees nationwide, Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of

Like many conservatives, Matt Davis, the former spokesman for the Michigan Republican Party, was upset that the Supreme Court upheld most of President Obama?s health care law on Thursday.
But unlike those who simply saw it as a rallying cry to elect more conservatives in November, Davis wants to know whether an ?armed rebellion? will be necessary to overturn the law.
Michigan Capitol Confidential got a copy of an email the Michigan attorney sent to fellow conservatives after the ruling. The news service posted it online:
If government can mandate that I pay for something I don?t want, then what is beyond its power? If the Supreme Court?s decision Thursday paves the way for unprecedented intrusion into personal decisions, then has the Republic all but ceased to exist? If so, then is armed rebellion today justified?
God willing, this oppression will be lifted and America free again before the first shot is fired.
Davis told the news service he was serious about his email.
?You can?t have people walking with lattes and signs and think the object of your opposition is going to take you seriously,? he told Capitol Confidential. ?Armed rebellion is the end point of that physical confrontation.?

George Zimmerman at court for his first bond hearing at the Seminole County Courthouse in Sanford, Fla., on April 20.
?
By msnbc.com's Kari Huus and NBC's Jamie Novogrod
Neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman,? who is now being held in solitary confinement, is scheduled to appear in?a Florida court on Friday, seeking another chance to be released on bail after it was revoked by a judge.
Speaking to NBC News on Thursday,?defense attorney Mark O?Mara?said that his client, charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26, presents no flight risk, no threat to the public and that the only question should be the bond amount required by the judge.
"If it is a truly large amount of money, then those supporters who are out there who have already supported him are going to have to sort of dig deeper into their pockets because quite honestly,?I need him out to help me work on the defense,? said O?Mara. "We have, let's say, a hundred hours, 120 hours, of documents and videos and audios.? I want him available to me so that I can interact with him."
"And jail is not supposed to be punishment before trial," he added.?"It's only to ensure that you come back to the courtroom, and he has shown that time and time again."
Zimmerman was not arrested until several weeks after the shooting of Martin, who was walking through a gated neighborhood in Sanford, Fla. when the encounter took place. Zimmerman asserts that he acted in self-defense and pleaded not guilty to the second-degree murder charge.
Judge Kenneth Lester?granted a request from O?Mara that Zimmerman?be allowed to appear in court without shackles and wearing civilian clothes rather than?his prison uniform.
O'Mara argued that with the heavy media presence outside the courthouse, the prison garb could damage Zimmerman's chances of getting a fair trial.
"We can't deny the fact that public perception is important," he told NBC. "Chains suggest incarceration. Chains suggest guilt."
Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, parents of the victim Trayvon Martin, were planning to be in court for Zimmerman's bond hearing, lawyers for the Martin family told NBC News.
O?Mara said he did not expect Zimmerman?s wife, Shellie, to appear at the courthouse on her husband?s behalf, because of the risk that she might incriminate herself as she battles a perjury charge.
Shellie Zimmerman is accused of misleading the court at her husband's April 20 bond hearing, when she asserted that she did not know how much money was in a PayPal account set up for contributions to Zimmerman?s legal defense.
In recorded telephone conversations from jail prior to that date, Zimmerman and his wife appear to discuss ? in thinly?disguised code ? the amount of money in the account, and he instructs her to make a series of transfers to other accounts, the prosecution charges. (Read original report.)
Special Prosecutor Angela Corey used the recordings to persuade?the judge to revoke the original $150,000 bond for George Zimmerman, who was rearrested on June 3. Shellie Zimmerman was arrested on June 12, charged with perjury and released on $1,000 bond.
O?Mara said that if Zimmerman is released on bond, he would go back into hiding for his own safety. The shooting death of Martin, an unarmed black teenager, in February has stirred an emotional national debate about race, gun rights and the "stand-your-ground" laws like the one in Florida that use a broad definition of self-defense.
Meanwhile,?Zimmerman is being held in protective custody in?isolation at the Seminole County Jail in Sanford, Fla.
"He?s reading the Bible. He is just trying to get by," said O?Mara, when asked about Zimmerman?s mental state. "But he's very worried about Shellie. That's a primary focus of his. He wants out. He wants to be able to get forward with moving the case forward."
O?Mara dismissed as irrelevant new information reported by the Miami Herald that Zimmerman was a no-show for a scheduled deposition related to a civil lawsuit he had filed to recoup wages from a former employer.
In that incident, the court fined him $10,000 after lawyers, including one who flew in from Atlanta, waited an hour and a half for Zimmerman while trying to reach him, the Herald reported.? Zimmerman ultimately did win $18,000 from the employers bankruptcy trustee, but the fine was never paid, it said.
In an email to the Herald, O?Mara said: "To the extents that courts concern themselves with a client?s appearance, missing a noticed or scheduled court proceeding is considered significant? (But) missing a deposition, while we don?t know why Mr. Zimmerman missed a deposition in a civil case, missing a deposition is not missing a scheduled court proceeding."

Some people think that orange county pest control is something they can do on their own. While you may be able to buy some supplies from a local store and attempt to solve the problem, you never truly know what is right and what is wrong until you hire a professional. With the right team on your side, you will be well on your way to getting rid of pests once and for all - and that is what you truly want.
The main reason for wanting to solve this problem on your own is simple: you are looking for a way to save money. But before you start thinking this way, you need to keep a few things in mind.
First and foremost, hiring an Orange County pest control company is not nearly as expensive as many people believe. In fact, it can be quite affordable in many cases. You will never truly know how much it costs until you contact a qualified provider and ask for a quote. This is a great way to learn more about your problem while also picking up valuable information on the cost.
Secondly, you are going to spend a lot of money buying the supplies and equipment that you need in order to treat your own home. And guess what? You still may not get the level of results you are hoping for. There is no guarantee of success when you treat your own home. With this in mind, you could end up spending a lot of money and not seeing any change. How would that make you feel?
If you don't know the first thing about pest control, you need to contact a company in your area that is able to review your problem and lay out a plan that you are going to be comfortable with.
The time that it takes a professional to control your pest problem will be much quicker than what you are faced with.

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV)- Duke Energy is alerting customers about a new identity theft scam claiming that their utility bills will be paid by President Obama through a federal program.
The company says that the scammers are contacting customers in person, through fliers, or through social media and text messages.
The customers are then asked for their birth day, social security number, and bank account information before being given a false bank account through which their utility bills can be paid through the program.
In reality, the company says, there is no money in the fake account, and the customer's bills are not being paid.
Duke Energy, along with the Better Business Bureau, is working to keep consumers educated, and are asking customers to follow a few simple steps in order to avoid getting involved in this or any other scam:
Never provide your social security number, credit card number or banking information to anyone requesting it over the phone or at your home unless you initiated the contact and feel confident with whom you are speaking.
If you receive a call claiming to be your utility company and feel pressured for immediate payment or personal information, hang up the phone and call the customer service number on your utility bill.
Never allow anyone into your home to check electrical wiring, natural gas pipes or appliances unless you have scheduled an appointment or have reported a utility problem. Also, ask utility employees for proper identification.
Always think safety first. Do not give in to high pressure tactics over the phone for information or in person to get into your home.

Teen Mom's Catelynn Lowell is not happy about recent tabloid reports that she's pregnant again (she's not), and points the finger at a surprising figure.
Earlier this month, In Touch matter-of-factly declared that she and fiance Tyler Baltierra were happily expecting a child. This was not the case. At all.
The shocking deception started in early June, when the reality star's mom, April Baltierra, informed the magazine that Catelynn Lowell is pregnant again.
April arranged for a friend to "confirm" it in an interview and even sent documentation of the pregnancy from a doctor who supposedly treated Cate.
Then, a woman identifying herself as Catelynn did a phone interview with the celebrity gossip magazine - from a cell phone with Tyler’s voicemail on it.
A private investigator “with beyond a reasonable degree of professional certainty” that the voice of the interview subject “is the voice of the mother.”
“I love my mom, but it’s frustrating,” says the college student. "It crosses the line.”
“We feel violated,” Tyler adds. “I’m shocked that she would go to this length."
“I don’t know how she can sleep at night,” Cate's dad, David, says of his ex.
April's con allegedly involved her warning In Touch not to contact Catelynn again after the interview because stress could cause her to “lose the baby.”
In a series of angry phone calls and texts after the hoax was exposed, April claims “Catelynn was fully aware of the story. She knew all about this.”
April also says she is homeless ... whatever that's worthy.
For her part, Catelynn wants fans to know she’s “absolutely sorry” for everything that has happened and despite her mother’s hurtful and erratic behavior.
On the plus side, the engaged step-siblings say it made them stronger. “You either grow together or you grow apart,” says Tyler. “We’ve grown together.”

The upcoming sale of Ballot.com is catching a lot of attention due to these and additional factors.
Political candidates also are now raising literally tens of millions of dollars using the Internet alone. In addition, sales of websites, domains and related businesses have generated millions of dollars as investors snap up inventory.

Politics online is becoming very big business.
According to recent reports, Republican candidates like Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul have spent a significant amount money on domain names and online media buys in the last few months, as has President Barack Obamas re-election campaign. Some have even raised millions of dollars on the web from their avid supporters in a single days time. The Internet is now booming when it comes to the business of Politics.
Just in time for the 2012 campaign season, Ballot.com is up for sale at Flippa.com ? the worlds #1 marketplace for buying and selling web sites.

Single-word domain names are a hot commodity and investment opportunity for businesses, entrepreneurs and celebrities, with many of them snapped up in the 1990s. Recently, Social.com was sold for over $2.5 million. One Canadian band is hoping to strike it rich by selling their domain, TeaParty.com, with some estimates of its value running as high as $1 million.
With such a descriptive name, Ballot.com would be ideal for an investor, major media company, political candidate, or even a market research company. With the word ballot trending in Googles search statistics, this domain name also has large advertising potential.
Major Political Publishing Powerhouse HuffingtonPost.com proved its worth when it recently sold to AOL for $300 million US Dollars.

Smartphones have increased use of social media and computer gamesPublic release date: 27-Jun-2012 [ | E-mail | Share ]

Over 60 per cent of Swedish young people today have a smartphone, and in addition to telephoning and messaging, they use them to communicate via social media and e-mail, and to play games.
Each year, Nordicom at Gothenburg University carries out a nationally representative survey of media use among the Swedish people. Media Barometer 2011 (Mediebarometern 2011) presents the results of the most recent survey.
Smartphones have contributed to an already notable increase in the use of computer games, particularly among young people, says Professor Ulla Carlsson. Online game-playing has more than doubled during the past year alone. Sixty per cent of 9- to 14-year-olds play one or more computer or video games the average day action and adventure themes predominate.
Smartphones are also used to keep up on the news. As a consequence of more differentiated media use, news listening and watching via traditional media have shown a slight decline in recent years, particularly among young people. That decline appears to have leveled off now. Most owners of smartphones choose to follow the news in web editions of daily newspapers.
Use of social media is considerably more passive than active
Nearly 90 per cent of Swedish young people, aged 15 to 24, use one or more social media the average day, which is a considerably greater share than those who watch television (75 %). This pattern is quite different from media behavior in other age groups, where television viewing is much more common.
Young people also spend much more time on internet than other age groups. Forty-three per cent report spending more than three hours on the web the average day, and 23 per cent spend more than five hours. The most common activity is visiting and communicating in social networks like Facebook (89 %), followed by listening to music (74 %), watching video clips (65 %) and listening to and/or reading blogs (34 %). Most internet use is passive rather than active; few young people post their own videos (4 %) or write their own blogs (9 %). Considerably more, however, take part in social networks like Facebook (68 %).
Stability as well as change in use of traditional media
Use of social media is more extensive and is increasing more rapidly than use of traditional media on the web, although we do note a slight upward trend in the latter from year to year. Younger adults, 25 to 44 years, are the most frequent users of internet. Nearly 50 per cent in this group partake of traditional media via the web. Internet also plays a key role in sustaining the audience reach of non-subscribed tabloids; every second tabloid reader reads the paper on the web.
Otherwise, conventional television viewing continues to dominate, and radio listening continues its downward trend, whereas reading of periodicals and books remains relatively stable.
Today there are many ways of watching television, in terms of both when we view and how we access the medium, with a range of hardware stretching from conventional television sets to tablet computers and smartphones. Six per cent of the population make use of conventional channels' archive on-demand function the average day; per week the figure is 21 per cent. The corresponding figures among 15- to 24-year-olds are 10 per cent the average day, and 30 per cent the average week. About 10 per cent of younger boys use their cell phones to watch television or video clips the average day.
Cineastic pensioners
Swedes in the eldest age group, 65-79 years, distinguish themselves by a rise in cinema-going. No similar rise is noted in other age groups. Seventeen per cent of the group visit a cinema once or more the average month; in 1999 the figure was 3 per cent.

About the Media Barometer (MedieBarometern)
The Media Barometer, an annual measure of audience reach, surveys the shares of the Swedish people who use a variety of media the average day, week and/or month from year to year, and the time they spend using them. The media measured are radio, television, teletext, video/DVD, cinema, CDs, mp3, computer games, morning newspapers, evening tabloids, periodicals, advertising and use of media output via internet and smartphones. The aim is to document trends and changes in people's media use. The barometer readings are based on telephone interviews with a random sample of the population beween the ages of 9 to 79. The 2011 data are based on interviews with 4 500 respondents. The first Media Barometer was undertaken in 1979. Together, the Barometers form an unbroken chain of data, although, of course, several media are much younger than the series.

Who knew Lego characters had to be somewhere in a hurry? Adafruit did, as it just whipped up a minifig-sized train schedule. The invention mates one of Adafruit's own 1-inch OLED boards with an Arduino Uno controlling the schedule behind the scenes. It looks to be a straightforward project for the DIY types, although the display is currently all show: the schedule doesn't (yet) pair up with the train tracks to automatically let your minifigs know if their trip to the pirate spaceship castle has been delayed by ghosts. You can check the source link for the full instructions. Duplo builders, alas, are kept out of the loop.
Did you realize that many people that suffer from back discomfort show no physical reason for the discomfort; you will discover know slipped disks, you will find no damaged vertebrae, there was no accident that brought on the discomfort. So what?s the trigger?
Modern day medicine is now beginning to acknowledge that there?s an emotional component to physical discomfort that up till now has not been addressed. As soon as this emotional component is cleared the physical discomfort is generally relieved or entirely gone. Physical remedies, if nonetheless needed, are then either permanent or longer lasting.
So how do you identify the emotional trigger with the discomfort? Ask your self, or even far better have an individual which you trust, ask the following questions:When did the discomfort initial begin?
What was happening within your life at this time?
What time inside your life does this discomfort remind you of?
Who does this discomfort remind you of?
How old had been you once you began getting this discomfort?
Is there an individual you will need to forgive for this discomfort?
If your answer to among the questions is ?I don?t know?, then ask the question ?I know you do not know and when you had to guess what would it be?? Frequently our guesses are really accurate, we just must get past the conscious mind which perhaps doesn?t like the answer.
Typically just talking about and exploring the answers towards the above questions will give some discomfort relief. To go even further and fully resolve the discomfort, I suggest the Emotional Freedom Approaches (EFT) that are an innovative approach to healing that frequently gets outcomes when absolutely nothing else works. Uncover out additional about EFT here.

Six roses. Four dudes. Things are getting serious on The Bachelorette.
After the past two weeks saw villains Ryan Bowers and Kalon McMahon dispatched by Emily Maynard, were there any more fireworks in store this evening?
Who succeeded in wooing our beloved single mom from North Carolina, and who failed to make the final cut before next week's coveted hometown dates?
Follow this link for a rundown of The Bachelorette spoilers we know thus far, including the (alleged) final three. Then read on for THG's official +/- recap!
First, Prague is on my bucket list now. Beautiful city. Plus 4.
Our Southern Belle Emily Maynard walks the streets of Prague, sans daughter Ricki, musing about the hometown dates. Hostman Chris Harrison tells the guys this week is important because next week are hometown dates. Jef with one F tells us he's really hoping he gets a hometown date next week. We get it. Hometown dates are important. Minus 3.
Of the six guys, three of them will get a one-on-one date with Emily this week. The first date goes to Arie Luyendyk Jr., probably because Emily wants to kiss him (loudly) a few more times. His jacket has elbow patches. Minus 3.
Emily thinks it's shady that Arie hasn't told her about his relationship with Cassie the producer. His failure to disclose his past relationship with someone in Emily's inner circle is disloyal somehow to her.
Chris decides to set the record straight about the rumors regarding Arie and Cassie and introduces a segment of Cassie interviewing Emily about Arie.
Cassie says it's no big deal, it was a long time ago, blah blah blah. Emily says the fact that they dated is no big deal. It's the fact that nobody told her that they knew each other that's the problem.
Emily probes Arie to see if he'll spill the beans about his relationship to Cassie. The deep dark secret he's hiding? He had a tattoo of an ex-girlfriend's name (a different Cassie) on his arm but he's had it covered up now. Minus 12.
Emily, Arie, and Cassie all sat down, off camera, to discuss this relationship. Arie said he didn't think his relationship with Cassie Lambert mattered, which is why he didn't tell her. Emily realizes that her feelings for Arie haven't been affected by this revelation. They kiss some more at dinner. A lot more. Plus 10.
Back at the house, the other guys all wonder what Arie and Emily are doing. Doug says they're probably just having dinner somewhere cool. Sure, Doug, that's all.
John gets the next one-on-one date. Chris says it's killing him inside that he's not getting dates. Minus 4 for melodrama.
Arie tells Emily that when they were in Croatia, he realized something. He loves her. Plus 20.
And then they kiss some more. And then there are actual fireworks.
John and Emily go on a date and paint on the Lennon wall. Emily says she likes him as a person, but she doesn't know how she feels about him romantically. So they put their initials on a padlock that signifies eternal love and try to fasten it on a wall in Prague. But the lock won't stay fastened. Symbolic lock, yes? John's not the one. Minus 3.
Chris is "driving himself crazy" sitting at the house. So crazy he has to drink. He's on edge. DUDE, you're in PRAGUE. Stop whining and go see something cool! Minus 12.
Emily's still confused about John, so she takes him to dinner in a dungeon. Didn't she take him to dinner in a cave already this season? John's ex-girlfriend cheated on him, so now he's not a starter. He's a closer.
Chris is still whining about how he didn't get another one-on-one date. Still. He's not getting the third one-on-one either. Because it's a group date with Sean and Doug as his wingmen.
Sean just has to see kiss Emily, so he goes running around the city of Prague looking for her. Plus 3.
Conveniently, there's a table for two at a quaint little cafe. Conveniently. Minus 2.
Sean, Doug, Chris, and Emily explore dungeons and towers and Doug makes a toast to her gracious nature. She's concerned about their chemistry. I'm concerned about their chemistry.
Doug's grazes Emily's leg with his hand and loses his train of thought completely. He says he's a slow mover and he really wants to kiss her. So then he does. And it's the most awkward kiss in the history of the show. Minus 10.
Doug's going home now.
There's a little more room on the group date without Doug there. Emily gives Sean and Chris each a key. Sean's key opens the door. Chris is going to go whine some more, I'm sure.
Jef with one F gets the final date in Prague.
Chris finally gets some alone time with Emily and the first thing he wants to know is why he hasn't had a one-on-one date with her. She says something about giving him back his confidence and then gives Sean the rose. Plus 4.
Chris is pissed off over not getting the rose. Temper, temper, Chris. Minus 7.
Emily thinks Jef would make a great dad since he's a big kid himself. Emily, honey, the last thing you want is a grown kid to take care of. Minus 3.
They go to a marionette shop and after buying two marionettes, Jef leaves Emily standing in the street. He has to go back and buy a marionette for Ricki. Plus 15.
Emily and Jef go to a library to play with their puppets. And Jef uses his puppet to tell Emily's puppet that the puppet is beautiful and that his puppet is "100...1 million percent in love" with it. I...plus? minus? I can't decide.
They sit on a blanket in the middle of a library and talk about the hometown date. One thing Jef's got going for him? He's from a big family and Emily's ovaries are on overdrive. Plus 5.
Jef broke up with his last girlfriend because his parents didn't like her. No pressure, Emily.
Again, they're in the middle of a library. Making out and talking about marriage. In a library. Does Emily read?
It's time for another cocktail party and Chris is near tears. The person he was yesterday isn't the person he is and he believes in them. And man tears. All he wants is a few minutes to talk to Emily. Minus 18.
She's decided to skip the cocktail party and go straight to the Rose Ceremony. Chris looks like he's about to puke. Or punch something.
Sean's headed to a hometown date next week thanks to the rose that Chris didn't get. Jef gets the first rose of the ceremony. Arie gets the second.
Chris pipes up and says he just has to talk to her, so they take a walk into the next room where he man blubbers while she looks on in doe-eyed wonder. Minus 2.
His man tears worked. Chris got the final rose.
Going home:
Doug (cut loose on the group date)
John "Wolf" (no rose)
Sean, Arie, Jef, and Chris are taking Emily home to meet their families on next week's hometown dates.
